Overview
A disc-type check valve (non-return valve) designed to prevent backflow and ensure one-way fluid movement in pipelines. The spring-assisted disc mechanism provides swift, reliable closure that minimizes the risk of reverse flow, protecting pumps and system equipment. Its compact design occupies less space than conventional swing check valves, with screwed, wafer, and lug end options for flexible installation across industrial and commercial systems. Supplied, sized and serviced for process plants across Nepal.
Features & Benefits
- Spring-loaded disc design closes faster than a gravity swing check valve as flow reverses, which significantly reduces water hammer and pressure surge when a pump trips — a major cause of pipeline and fitting damage.
- Wafer and lug body styles fit between standard flanges and occupy far less face-to-face length than a swing check valve, saving space and weight in tightly packed piping runs.
- Coverage up to 12" in wafer type lets the same product line serve both small instrument lines and large process or pump discharge headers.
- Metal-to-metal seat handles high temperature up to 300°C, with optional PTFE or EPDM soft seats available where bubble-tight sealing on clean fluids is required.
- CF8/CF8M stainless body provides corrosion resistance for water, steam, and mildly corrosive process media without the cost of fully exotic alloys.
- Disc-and-spring mechanism allows installation in horizontal or vertical (upward flow) orientation, unlike swing checks that are restricted to specific mounting positions, giving more flexibility in pipe routing.
