Overview
An IBR-approved metal-seated pressure reducing valve with flanged ends, designed for precise and reliable pressure control in demanding steam service. The durable stainless steel metal seat resists wear for long-term performance, while the globe-type body and piston mechanism deliver stable downstream pressure regulation with an adjustable range of 0.5 to 10 kg/cm². Built for easy maintenance and corrosion resistance in industrial environments up to 350°C. Supplied, sized and serviced for steam systems across Nepal.
Features & Benefits
- The metal seat is the defining feature — it withstands the erosion and thermal cycling of high-temperature steam far better than a soft seat, which is why this variant exists alongside the softer-seated PRVs in the range and why it suits the 350°C rating.
- Piston-actuated regulation handles the higher differential pressures of steam service more robustly than a bare diaphragm design, giving stable outlet pressure even as inlet pressure fluctuates.
- Wide adjustable range of 0.5 to 10 kg/cm² lets a single valve cover low-pressure process steam through medium-pressure distribution, reducing the number of PRV models to stock.
- Four body material options including S.G. iron and stainless grades let the same valve be specified economically for general steam or upgraded for corrosive condensate exposure.
- IBR approval is a compliance prerequisite for boiler-connected steam piping, making this valve legally usable in regulated steam systems rather than just technically suitable.
- Flanged ends with 150#/300# drilling integrate into standard steam headers and allow removal for seat servicing without cutting the line, which matters for a wear component like a PRV seat.
